Man Utd star Amad Diallo clarifies his biological mother has not passed away

Manchester United star Amad Diallo has shared the sad news of the death of a close relative who was ‘a mother’ to the footballer.

The 22-year-old shared a photo of the woman holding two young children in her arms on Friday evening.

‘Rest in peace Mum, may Allah forgive you,’ Amad wrote alongside the picture.

The United forward later explained the woman in question is not his biological mother but still someone very close to his heart.

‘Guys I wanted to clarify,’ Amad wrote on X. ‘She is not my biological mother, she is my brother’s mother and my sister, was also my mother. May she rest in peace.’

Diallo started United’s first game of the new Premier League season against Fulham last week and was expected to be in the squad for Saturday’s meeting with Brighton.
